Description:This is a club for Towson alumni who currently reside in the Baltimore Metro area. Please join us to hear information about local events and news that are taking place right in your hometown.

Description: Towson University is proud to boast that we have several hundred alumni in the Los Angeles Area. After many years of visits from the alumni staff and organized events planned from Maryland, the responsibility of the chapter events and communications is in our hands, thanks to this wondeful new tool. Whatever your background, or graduation year, I hope you will check this site regularly, join in chats, post messages and let the chapter representative know if there are events taking place that you would like to invite your fellow TU alumni.
 
New York Alumni Community
Description: A Towson University Alumni Chapter is defined as an interested group of more than 200 alumni residing in a specific geographic area. An alumni volunteer representative is identified and designated to pursue the establishment of a chapter.
 
San Diego Alumni Community
Description: A Towson University Alumni Chapter is defined as an interested group of more than 200 alumni residing in a specific geographic area. An alumni volunteer representative is identified and designated to pursue the establishment of a chapter.
 
Seattle Alumni Community
Description: The Seattle Network is a group of involved alumni that have migrated to the Great Pacific Northwest. Although we have flourished both personally and professionally here, we still find our roots in Towson. Our alumni have participated in a variety of activites including working on a Habitat for Humanity project, attending Mariners baseball games, and spending elegant evenings on the Spirit of Washington Dinner Train, just to name a few. We enjoy getting together in various settings to talk about what is new in our lives as well as swap favorite stories about our times at Towson University. New members are always welcome and are encouraged to participate in suggesting new and exciting activities for our group.

Towson Alumni Ready To Help Saints Reach 1st Super Bowl
Led by a pair of former Towson Tigers, the New Orleans Saints will host the National Football Conference championship game for the first time ever on Sunday evening when they host the Minnesota Vikings in the Superdome.

Asian Arts & Culture Center presents The Sacred Arts of Asia
This exhibition highlights selected artworks from thirteen private collections of paintings and sculptures from South and Southeast Asia as well as the Far East. Viewers will be able to see the depth and range of Asian sacred arts, the forms of its multi-level functioning, and the transformation of the profound into the world of today.

WTMD raises more than $15,000 for Haitian relief effort
Listeners of Towson University's WTMD-FM pledged more than $15,000 in a day-long fundraiser Tuesday for the Doctors Without Borders Haiti Rescue Response Fund. The donations support Doctors Without Borders' efforts to deliver emergency medical care to the people of Haiti following last week's devastating earthquake.

Towson University senior Sarah Elfreth welcomed to USM Board of Regents
The University System of Maryland (USM) welcomes three new members to the Board of Regents. John Young, M.D., Linda Gooden and Sarah Elfreth were nominated to the board by Governor Martin O’Malley and confirmed during the 2009 Legislative Session by the Maryland Senate.

Baltimore Hebrew Institute at Towson University established
The Board of Regents of the University System of Maryland has given approval to the plan for the integration of Baltimore Hebrew University’s academic programs with those of Towson University in the areas of Jewish studies, Jewish education and Jewish communal service. The projected start date at Towson is fall 2009.

Hackerman Presidential Polytechnic Scholarship established
Willard Hackerman, Baltimore Polytechnic Institute class of 1935, has donated $1 million to Towson University to establish scholarships enabling qualifying Poly graduates to attend the university tuition-free.
