Marguerite HardenEnvironmental Science major Marguerite Harden put her 2007 TU degree to work after graduation when she joined SENTECH, Inc. - a clean energy consulting company that supports federal government, state government and private corporations. While working in Bethesda, MD Marguerite worked on an ENERGY STAR program administered by her company for Maryland Home Performance. Her work in Maryland also included ENERGY STAR initiatives in the commercial and industrial sectors, and program support for the Department of Energy's Geothermal Technology Program. In February, Marguerite was promoted to a project manager position that took her to SENTECH Hawaii, LLC located in Honolulu! There she has been supporting the Hawaii state energy office as they try to reach an aggressive goal of 70% clean energy by 2030, set by the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative. Her focus in Hawaii has also included work on the "Kauai Energy Sustainability Plan" which her company is drafting in order to integrate stakeholder and public interests with energy analysis to create an energy plan specifically for the county of Kauai. You can read more about her work on the Kauai project in this article from "Garden Island", the local newspaper.
